last night in san francisco's ingleside heights neighborhood. investigators say it's being considered accidental. firefighters say when they arrived just after 8:30 p.m., flames and smoke were pouring from the windows at the house on st. charles avenue. the fire appears to have started in the kitchen and spread to other parts of the house. the body of the woman who lived there, 61-year-old dean burnett, was found on the second floor of the pumping house. her neighbors say they are shaken by her death. >> i was there and i seen the firefighters bring her body down. they put her right there by the garage. i was there. nobody told me anybody. neighbors asked me was that dean andy confirm it was dean -- and i did confirm it was dean. >> reporter: firefighters put the -- >> firefighters put the fire out within a half an hour. the cause of the fire is under investigation. >>> san jose police are looking for a hit-and-run driver who killed a pedestrian last night. the collision happened around 5:45 near white and quimby road. police say the victim was crossing the street when a dark suv or v

francisco, bound and gagged. both had a substantial injuries and be needed to transported to san francisco general. the male, steven reed died at the hospital. there are still unknown questions weather if they were beaten elsewhere and then it dumped in the streets. police provided new details on this crime. listen. >> it was established a there was an extensive relationships between the victims and the suspects in this case. i cannot give you details about the relationships. and also note maga shots will be able as we have pending identification. it is part of this investigation and the motive for this attack is under investigation. i will not be able to provide details on what led to the attack but what i can say is that the male appeared to have a blunt force trauma and a gun shots to his upper body. because of the death is still pending the examiner's conclusion of the autopsy report. the female victim also it seemed to have a blunt force trauma. that is all the information i can give as that. and as far as when it occurred? we are still the lead agency in this investigation. as far as

with this horrific crimes. a man and woman found bound and gagged found on the streets in san francisco. fell one is dead the female is fighting for her life. three of the suspects are under the age of 25, one is a 32. 25, one 32. all four plus one male now facing series charges. police not saying what connects the two groups. but that they had an extensive relationship between the victims and suspects. there was some type of text sense of relationship. jail: sf resident marlene lintz and oakland resident montrail brackens both under arrest for murder. 2 hercules residents, tyler miller, and heather leach as well as oakland resident maryann manalastas were arrested for accessory to murder. it was this past sunday evenig when police say a motorist found the two victims in the middle of brussels street, bound and gagged and fighting for their life. >> the male, identified as 26 eyar old steven reid died later at the hospital, the woman not identified is in serious condition. although there are many unanswered questions, such as whether the two were beaten elsewhere and then dumped in san francisco

at the san francisco department of public works says the road floods because the drains cannot handle all of the water, especially during a powerful storm. drivers are being forced to take the lower great highway route. the northbound side is still open. officials say the highway closes about 60 times a year, its not known when the southbound side will re-open. >> the storm also brought down a massive tree in the east bay. this one fell right on the footsteps of the delta chi fraternity house on channing way in berkeley. the 90-footer took out some communications cables on its' way down. but other than that the damage was minimal. however when the tree fell it loosened the soil of a neighboring tree.that had to be removed for safety reasons. >> in the sierra. it was another snowy day with drivers facing chain restrictions and slick roads through the higher elevations. this is video from placer county. where last night caltrans had to shut down interstate 80 several times. because of the dangerous driving conditions. kron 4's charles clifford has an update on how things are looking now. >>
